Hiho Xoopers!

does anyone know if it exists a module for viewing embeded videos from YouTube or any other video hosting website.
My main problem is lack of space in server so i'm not able to host videos for myself.

Hope someone knows the solution to the problem.

Thanks in advance!
Xoops forever!

Use the XFSECTION module, which is supposed to be for articles...but where you put the main article text, paste your utube video code instead...

then go into the language files, and change all the references to "article" etc., to "videos"

works well enough for me!

I'm using SmartSections to do mine. I was in the same boat as you - videos taking up all my bandwidth. So, I moved them all to Google Video and stream them from there.

A module you can use is OL_Video and then editing the index.php file. This module is very straight forward because it uses the print-command to project the movies.

You can edit a module yourself like one of the weblink modules or another one so you can order the movies in categories.
I used WF-Links for my website and it looks pretty cool I think, see here.

McDonald -
My solution is a temporary one until I can figure something better; yours look very promising.

I do like your implementation. Problem: when I click on a video picture, it redirects then issues:
File Not Found
The requested URL was not found on this server.

@JamesSAEP

Can you tell me by pm which movies this are or use the Report Broken option?
It might be that they don't exist on YouTube anymore.

At the moment I can't check it because YouTube is blocked on the server of my company.

Thanks,

McDonald

Actually, forgot about than. We block the site as well, so if the stream is coming from the youtube site, then I can get it.

That might be the cause there I use the embedded code that's avaibele per movie on YouTube. I don't host any of the movies on my server.

I think a lot of companies are blocking YouTube to save their bandwidth (my comp uses private satellite links for internet and they block a lot of sites for this reason ... and adult sites of course ).
