Is it possible to install Xoops again and when installing...

Is it be possible to install XOOPS again (The same version) and when installing it use the old database that way I don't loss any information?

If so where would I find instructions to follow? Also is their a way to double, double check that version I have as I believe I have version 2.2.3 but I thought it wouldn't hurt to double check.

Look forward to hearing peoples responses.

I believe you can find the XOOPS version in the XOOPS root/include, look for version.php.

Nope, dunno. I wouldn't want to touch that one. Better that one of the more experienced XOOPS user help you with that one. It is definately above my level, all I would do is break it.

Definately back-up yoursite and database before undergoing such a procedure at anytime.

Just overwrite all of the files except mainfile.php and you will have a new installation with the same database.
Urging XOOPS to be the Best It Can Be.

Just finished replacing all the files bar the mainfile.php one as you can see from my site:

http://sacotech.com.au/Extranet

that it just displays a blank page any other ideas?

Have you tried enabling PHP Debug in the system general setings?

What was your reason for reinstalling?
