Custom Profile Pages in Xoops

Hello, I run a gaming website http://www.gamershideout.org

I generally have some things I put on for a game,
Downloads
Walkthrough Guides
Cheats
Review
Screenshot/Images/Wallpapers

Now is it possible to create a page somewhat like this


|Game Name| |Some screenshot/image/wallpaper from the gallery of it|

|a paragraph about the game|
|a few of random/latest/or any download|
|some button like click here for the games cheats|
|some random/latest/or any review snipper|

-------------------------------------------

So basically that is a custom page showing links towards other content of the website.

So like that I have game profiles on my website, and I could show a snipper of the latest/random game profile...

If its not easy/possible on xoops, can it be done easily on some other cms

I know this is very demanding but i am very desperate for such a feature in my website

Ken Ohwada's Web Links 1.13 is a highly versatile directory module. It satisfies most of your requirements and also offers many custom form fields for your additional needs. The module has a complex preference setup due to its flexibility but well worth the learning curve.

but the problem is that, its for links
so everything written is links

rate link
notify about new link
top link

how can i change all this?

in the listing, I would like to remove the hyperlink of Need for Speed Underground 2 and make it neutral, please tell me how much modding is required and am i capable of it with minimal knowledge of php and fimiliarity with html

for changing the text to say games instead of link, you should be able to do that by editing the language files in the modules language folder.

offhand i can't tell you exactly which language files to change as i don't have the module..

probably will be in modules/yourmodule/language/english/main.php

but go through them and find the text and change it there..

as regard to removing the hyperlink, that's possible and should also be pretty easy to do, either by just editng the viewcat.html template in the modules template folder (remove the part), or you may have to edit a line or to in viewcat.php


incidentally, i voted on your site, but can you tell me how 44% of people prefer playstation 3 to xbox & pc when PS3 hasn't even been released yet? lol seems strange..

thanks for the info, i'll try it out today after school

and about the PS3, everybody quite much has an idea what its going to be like, so that is why i made such a poll...
