Newb to CMS' XOOPS looked great for my needs. Now for the problem.

Im wanting to allow JAR (mobile java applications) files to be downloaded from XOOPS but for some reason the file gets renamed to ZIP? On the server and XOOPS the file stays blah.JAR but when you click to download it ends up being blah.ZIP. I have a feeling this will be something I edit on the server, but dont know.

Not sure about this one, but you can try the following.
Open the file class/mimetype.inc.php in a texteditor.
Add the following line to the array:

"jar"      => "application/x-compressed",

See here for extensions (I mean file extensions).

Thanks for the replies.
Ive been unable to find away around this, as the OS and browser is out of my control. Changing the mimetype doesnt help even if I put in junk.
