Is there a way I can make one item from the main menu to open in a new window?

I have a chat module that would like to open it in a new window so users can stay at the forum while chatting on another window.

If code modification is necessary please give detailed description. I'm not very code oriented.

you can hardcode a link to your chatforum in your theme template with target of blank

thanx, but what file I have to edit and exactly what to type in there? sorry but as I said I'm not code oriented person.

What module are you using? Is it a XOOPS chat module (none of which work that great if you want live chat) or is it one you are using a custom block to run?

The more detail you give the better chance of getting a detailed answer.
