Story creation module

Some years ago maybe, i was using a XOOPS module that was allowing members to create there own stories.

Not just an article creation, it was stories presented as books, with chapters etc.

Members were allowed to create their own books, and add chapters and other members were able to add comments.

I'm now using XOOPS for a world of warcraft server community and i'm looking for this old module everywhere without success.

Anyone have an idea, maybe if the module is somewhere or any similar solution?

Atm i'm using articles, but i have to create categories for members and that's really not the same feeling...

thanks in advance.

Have you got the name of the module you used previously?

I think the module is story line: https://xoops.org/modules/news/article.php?storyid=405 But it doesn't look like it's available. Love to get hold of this one.

Think it's been discontinued a long while ago... Your best bet would be perhaps Article or SmartSection.

(There is a version of Storyline available - but not the XOOPS module - here)

I did a quick search for "module/storyline" and came up with a few sites that seem to be still using it. Most are Asian languages; one is in French.

Sent emails (in English ) to the webmasters asking if they could zip the module and e-mail it to me. The French-language site seems to be the most active, so if anyone speaks French, maybe they could also contact the site's admin.

Also, since the majority of the sites using it were Asian, I'll see if I can find out anything on their local XOOPS support sites - you never know.

Well well well, thanks to you both i found that what i'm looking for is a fan fiction addon in fact

So thanks to the name i've been able to find the storyline addon in the 1.05 version.
I know it's not updated anymore but at least it's working.

i found it here :
http://www.esxoops.com/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=9&min=90&orderby=titleA&show=10

just in case anyone is looking for it.

I've tested the addon and it's working pretty fine.
Just as it was before.

I'm thinking about working on it maybe, not sure yet, i'm gonna let the users of my site decide if they prefer storyline or articles.
I personaly think that article is better in writing and printing with the pdf features etc.
But storyline is nice too, accessing to the module is like a library..
categories -> stories -> chapters..

that's what i'm missing in articles, but i may correct this by creating subcategories to members that want to start their own projects..

Anyway, if you find a nice fanfiction addon, i'm on the list to take a look

Storyline is quite a popular system - and I know it's what the "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" fanfic site "Twisting the Hellmouth" use (or a customed version of it at least...) - but sadly it's not been developed for a long time as a XOOPS module - so perhaps Article may be better suited?
