Hello everyone,

I have a local classifieds and dating site, and I am looking to develop a MAIN site for my community. I LOVE the look and feel of www.folsomliving.com, which is powered by www.cityguide123.com.

However, it doesn't appear that this project is either still active or was ever released.

Any idea how I'd get my hands on this package? It has everything that I am looking to have on my main site.

I am a newb to XOOPS, so be gentle :)

I look forward to being active in the community.

Folsomliving is not a package. It is XOOPS with certain modules installed. You can create the same thing using updated modules. A current directory module that I recommend is MX-Directory 3.1 by Tripmon and Zyspec. You can do a search for it, it's still a RC version, but I use it on live production without problems.

Thank you, I am going to try and contact the creator of the site -- maybe he/she can package it up and sell it to me or something.. I dunno. hehe

Any idea what modules they are using? I love the layout, it's perfect for what I want to do.

AFAIK Folsom living is powered by either X-directory, or possibly MX-Directory beta (which is based on X-Directory). They are very similar in outward appearance.

MX-Directory 3.1, mentioned by msdana is a further development with some new features and a more user-friendly admin. All are available in the module repository.

I can see this site's using mx-directory and another alternative of this.

But i see too use a "guide" module, somebody know about this module ?.

I am using mxdirectory on my site, see it at:

http://myottawa.ca/modules/mxdirectory/

I changed some of the template files to remove functions/features that I did not want to use...coupons etc.
