When I try to enter the forum logged in as webmaster or registered user I get this message.

Are there anywhere else I can change the access rights than from the "groups" under "sytem admin"?

Which forum are you using?

In many of them there are additional permissions to be set in the forum pref's, some for access, view, posting etc etc

In admin hover over the forum icon and click on permissions.
I might not be very clever but I can lift heavy weights!

I am using NewBB 1.16.

Does that help?

Hi David,
I never understood why CBB uses the folder named 'newbb'! It is confusing.

I had the same problem. I appeared to have permission to administer the forum, but not to view it.

The problem seemed to disappear when I added the first category to the forum, so maybe it's only an issue on first installation with an empty forum.

Because CBB is a direct update from Newbb - so the directory name is the same for compatibility.
