I've spent a bit of time installing and re-installing this CM only most stuff not work.

When I try to add modules they either don't show up or I am unable to administer them. I have installed the FAQ, Forum, and Headlines modules. None of which will run. If they do run I can't add catagories/content/configurations.

I've looked for documents and I'm not finding anything. This is rather dissapointing,

Hi,

One thing you can try first, is to goto the admin section.

Click on Users, and then Groups.

Select Webmaster, and see it all the boxes are ticked.

Also what version of XOOPS are you using? Some modules won't work on 2.2.4

Regards

Chris

Thanks for your reply.

I've checked the groups, and the admin belongs has rights to everything and the user is part of the group.

I'm using version 2.0.13.2.

I went back and re-installed everything again because I had edited and created my own theme, but even with all the defaults right after install the modules are broken.

I use to have problem like this before @ localhost...for 2.0 and 2.2

and it took me several weeks to solve it...finally I realised there is some problem with my configuration of php+mysql+apache (which I modified myself) eventhough it works perfectly installing and running test site (weird) ?

I'm sure there must be some line that made XOOPS modules not working properly but I'm lazy to check.....so i uninstall everything....and install EasyPhp 1.8
in my computer

and now XOOPS & all of my modules are working properly....yippi...

p/s : easy php 1.8 - apache1.3,php4.310,mysql.419,phpmyadmin2.61

Re: Modules not working

Check the FAQ pages just to make sure you are using the right versions and procedures. The docs link below may also be of use.
Cheers
