I am really confused. I had a working theme and then my system crapped the bed. I reinstalled XOOPS from scratch along with the database. I had an archive of the theme that I was using and it worked fine before the crash. After the reinstall it wasn't looking right so I have been trying to edit it. I have been saving the files directly to the server and appropriate folders, but the changes are not appearing when I view the pages from the server. So bottom line, when I view the code in my text editor directly from the server it looks one way, when I view the source in a browser it looks another way. This makes no sense to me. . . Are there hidden files somewhere that I am not aware of?

Thanks,
Dan

hello Dan,

make sure that settings in Admin ->System->Preferences->General Settings:

"Update module template .html files from themes/your theme/templates directory?" is set to "YES" when editing things in theme and templates.

happy xoopsing.
