Hey people!

I reckon we need a mod similar to open-sef which is used for joomla, so we can finally have decent friendly urls and so we are able to specify our own.

I've seen one or two attempts but nothing fantastic, it would be great if it could be the 2.0.x and 2.2.x versions of XOOPS so everyone can benefit.

Yep, this is one feature I'm looking forward to very much. Just hope that the XOOPS implementation of this is not too Apache mod_rewrite orrientated. I can be a right pain in the bum to get these clean url's working properly on Webservers other than Apache. Drupal and Wordpress come to mind...

Finaly, XOOPS will Rule for 100%

now drupal, or joomla use standard SEO... :(

What version of XOOPS will use this standard feature?

Sit there also a feature in XOOPS that enables high range of vistors, because XOOPS crashed on 50 000+ unique vistors a day
or if there are a lot of people coming in into the same moment ... (and drupal doesn't crash)

Woohoo!!

Well am glad alot more dev heads are up for the idea! :)

I'm also glad to hear it will be released within the next version!

I kno another release was thrown at us in may, don't think friendly urls was included!?

I just hope when the friendly url's is finally intro'd into xoops, it will work for all and any mods that are installed. That would mean any friendly urls are not depending on the way the mods has been written!

Any news yet on when this will be included!!??
