If any kind person can help.notification.php page does not show up. It is blank.
I am on linux, Apache 1.3.34 Unix,
Kernal 2.4,20
php 4.4.1, MySQL 4.1.13 standard,
and running
XOOPS 2.0.13.1
using theme phpaox

I have tried repair database etc.
My site will not email me notifications and the page is blank.

The debug code on the notification.php page is similar I have pasted it below:



Recap I have the system set to send me notifications both by email and to show up in a block on my page. It shows up in the block but does not email me notifications. The notification.php page is blank.


I am very green and do not understand a lot of code.
Anyway, if anyone can help me I would be very thankful.

Please reupload your files to the server. It appears as though some of your files may have become corrupt during a transfer. Be sure to upload from the original source you uploaded.

It is also possible your download was corrupted, so please be sure to download the exact same file version as previous.

Once uploaded, go to Admin>Module Administration and click the System image to update all your system files. It may be possible that this is all you need to do before re-uploading your files, so I would give this s try first.

I did the install through fantastico via a link given to me via my hosting provider.

I do not have access to the original download files.

I tried the update system buttons and updated all of my modules. Nothing worked.

I tried the $ server php self script in place of the $ server script name script as per recommendation in a forum it did not work.

If I re-install XOOPS is there a way to bring all of my old files over so that I do not loose them?

I appreciate you help.. I am still at a loss..

Since all became quiet. I decided to go it alone.
I uninstalled XOOPS and re-installed it.

I am writing just in case someone has had the same problem.
I am not a developer and I am very green. I do not understand a lot of code.

This is what my experience has been.

I discovered the blank notification.php page and not getting notifications to work at all was due to CATADs v140 Classifieds.

After my fresh installof XOOPS the problem with the blank notificatio.php showed up only when I installed CATADS and tried to submit an ad. The program needed me to change permissions on the image file to 777 and I did. I also checked off the box to have the posts moderated. Then the notifcation.php blank page error happened.

I uninstalled the module CatAdsv140 and deleted the file folder named CatAds via the file manger of my site provided by my hosting provider... and my noitification.php page began to work again.

If you know why this happened and if they have a fix for it I would welcome any recommendations..

Notification with CATADS:

Your whole database or website should be fine.

Maybe!!! it is just a minor matter with the CATADS. ; the "notification.inc.php" in the include folder of catads. It might be unfinished .
So there is some little work to done on it, so that it can retrieve the data.
A temporary solution until you can fix that minor problem is to turn the CATADS notification system off.

If you turn off the notification system for CATADS, then, the rest of you site will work fine.
All the other notifications from your user tool will work great, and that nice little page will show up.

Just turn it off for the moment
At least that will give your users anothe reason to come back and make that their ads are being published.
