Possible to change directory name of forum (e.g. newbb->'forums')

Hi

Is it possible to change the directory names?

e.g.
instead of www.site.com/newbb
have www.site.com/forums

instead of www.site.com/xfsection
have www.site.com/articles

etc?

I'm sure it's possible, but there are probably some settings to change first.

I use this when i want to duplicate modules etc etc

search for newbb -> replace with forums, then you will have rename every file that has newbb in it to forums.

And it works.

There is probably a better way, but this works for me.

Excellent, thanks for the fast response.

So I rename the directory, then replace every "newbb" to "forums" (or whatever) within the directory. Cool.

Before I make a start - is there an "official" way of changing module directory names in Xoops??

not to what i have seen, i thought changing the xoops_dir directory name in xoops_version.php would do the trick but some files include files like

include("modules/newbb/classes/something.php"); which then you have to go trough all the files and make sure NEWBB is changed to new DIR name, this is the easieest way, and only takes a few seconds.
