Hi everyone,
I am using XOOPS 2.2.4 and News module 1.44, and something strange is happening. Three dots (...) are replacing the last few letters of the text in each of my news articles.

This wasn't happening until I upgraded to the latest News module. Is there a way to stop this from happening.

Any help would be appreciated as always.

This is not a bug, this is classed a feature as in the fact that if the news article goes over the specified number of characters in the title then this indicates that there is further information within this article.

I think that makes sense.

Hallo,
In some modules these three dots are added by the module theme - in others its coded in the module itself.
However the three dots should be added after a word and not replace the last three letters of the text extract.

Maybe I didn't explain very well,
The dots are apprearing at the end of each news article (not after the news blurbs). The problem is that they replace the lsat few letters of each of my articles. Is there anyway to stop this from happening. If it is a feature, is there a way to stop the feature - I don't need it. Tahnks for any help.

goto the blocks admin and edit the block. and there should be a "Length of the title ___ characters" option. and make it bigger

Its not in the block. It is in the actual news article itself.

Any other suggestions?

maybe its the template? if using a cloned/custom template, regenerate the news template data.?

post a screenshot of what it looks like?
