Catads v 1.40 and photos problem

tested in XOOPS 2.2.4 and 2.2.3a and 2.0.13.2

My problem is that the uploaded photos is not showing up.

error is
"The upload of your image failed
Check that the number of bytes is not bigger than 30000"


I'm checked that the /images folder has chmod 777. I have also checked the image uploaded fits into the size/weight definitions set in admin.

Anyone has any idea about how to solve this?

PD: in localhost working very good and any photos upload and no problem

Hi aixos,

maybe your hoster has a restriction for max upload size in his configuration.
Did you check that out?

I'm having the same problem: the image can't be uploaded. The module is correctly installed (images/ads set to 777).
Any suggestions?

Hi,

For 2.0.13.2 - on a test site try to change "uploader.php" in class folder with a version from 2.0.13.1 and see if it works... I'm not shure about 2.2.x

There is a change in uploader, that makes problems with some PHP setups...

As usual: do not make tests on production sites and make backups
..

What php setup do you refer to?
I'm running XOOPS 2.0.13.2 and I tried the switch of uploader.php from 2.0.13.1, but no success... Any other suggestion(s), please?

don't remember where it was, but somewhere in open basedir, safe mode, upload tmp dir settings.

Did you check web server and php error logs? Maybe mod_sec error log too if you have it.

What type of image file are you trying to upload, try something else. JPG should work.
..

I still haven't got this problem solved.
the uploaded images doesn't show up.
but i can find it in the directed when i access through the ftp.

is there a alternative classified module?

catads is buggy
myads is buggy
xclassified is dead

any more? anyone who has the mod or fixed version of those mention above, please let me know
