I do not understand what is the system to allow user register directly a new account without send any confirmation email. I use IPB module but i would like to activate user directly.
With XOOPS 2.2.4 and IPB 214, in Preferences Main »» General Settings i have not any option about this problem and in Preferences Main »» Authentication Options i do not understand what is the system.

I think LDAP has to do with company intranets.

What you want to do is go into your admin area and change the preferences in your Extended Profiles module. You'll find the settings you want there.
