This forum is newbb 2.02, It will not work with 2.2.3a you will need to use CBB 2.32 which is actually a later version of this same module.

What version are you using now? Nothing should be lost on upgrade, however as always, backup before making changes.

Thanks for that JD, if I click the info icon where you have the install button etc in modules etc the screen scrolls up telling me it's version 1

The forum itself has a very small grey "new" post button on the top right of thecategories.. it's real ugly looking! lol

You should be able to upgrade automagically. Just make sure you do a backup before attempting, so there is no chance of loosing anything.

silly question but, I do this just by plonking the contents of CBB 2.32 into my existing newbb folder then admin > modules > should be an upgrade where install was right?

I would delete the existing newbb folder, then upload the new newbb folder to the server. (This way only new files are sure to be on the server). Yes a cpanel backup is OK.

umm all done JD, 50/50 anyway.

Installed and upgraded ok and it shows all my categories but that's it, only the categories.

I tried sync but just get "Could not get post ID"

I think I may have to convert back as I have now lost over 100 posts!

Did you go through the permissions. All permissions have to be reset.

yep, until it's all ok, I have set everyone with 100% access so I don't have to worry about setting permissions etc for the moment.

when I go to my forum it just looks crappy aswell, my 6 categories are just the titles i.e. welcome, general chat, hot chat, unexplained, active chat and guestplus are each on a single grey line with a + and - sign next to them.

Also, at the top it says I have
`Total Topics: 15 | Total Posts: 24`

That's about right but none of them are viewable, but they are all set correct.

On the blue drop down box, if you click the "View un replied threads" option you get:

Quote:
An Error Occured
SELECT t.*, p.post_time as last_post_time, p.poster_name as last_poster_name, p.icon, p.post_id, p.uid FROM fruity_bb_topics t LEFT JOIN fruity_bb_posts p ON p.post_id = t.topic_last_post_id WHERE p.post_time > 1137255732 AND t.approved = 1 AND p.approved = 1 ORDER BY p.post_time DESC

Do the forums show in the forum tab of the CBB administration page?
