Need help to make a random picture block from XCGal

On our community site, http://www.maranoa.org.au , I need help to create a block that pulls random pictures from XcGal (Maranoa Mugshots) and displays them in Seen Around Town.

You'll see I've had a bit of a bash, although not really successfully. I can't see anything in the built in functions that allows me to do that.

You're help would be appreciated
