Opinion on new theme

I started this a while ago and I think I am just about done but im not sure what I should do about the background (thats where most of my complaints come from) if your using firefox or another browser that has multiple css support you can switch the background. Also the menu's will not render right in i.e. 6 (they should be semi transparent to you)

Im thinking of using the default background or the alt background 6

Very interesting design. I like the seperation of blocks and the semi-transparent backgrounds. The blue in the center column is a bit bright for my taste, but not at all inappropriate for the design.

to bad I cant get the menu's to render right in i.e.

but oh well sucks to be them :P

It's a "safe" background to use, but doesn't seem to do justice to your graphics somehow. Maybe if you used the criss-cross/weave background that you have in your menu boxes (or a variation of it) for the page background and one color for the menu background?

The menu's have a single color background. You cant tell in the screen shot but the menus are transparent. If you go to my site and grab the lightsaber hologram you can drag it around and get a feel for the effect.
