just read through this and saw it on a couple of sites, but apperently nobody has yet done it.

at the bottom of that thread it says that it should be fairly easy to do...

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?p=853115#post853115

so has anybody tried this out yet? or would any gifted/skilled coder be willing to look into it?

I would suggest raising this suggestion at: http://www.bbpixel.com - who has enabled several other forums to work under Xoops.

No problem

Although for obvious reasons I preffer CBB myself - I know that http://www.bbpixel.com has done a very good job with Phpbb in the past (which I used briefly under Xoops) - and we used their hack of Ipb on the wf-projects site as well - so it would be worth raising it with them.

Vbulletin has several things I really like. Nice layout, birthdays, and a click to read new post since last visit.

vbulletin is clearly the best forum software. and XOOPS in my opinion an excelent modular software, if not even the nicest looking cms i have yet come across.
