I have noticed along the way that the IPB port into XOOPS is making leaps and bounds in the area of XOOPS forums.

After reviewing many of the available sites in the world that use IPB, I have noticed that most all of them are using a 'points' system of sorts (there are more than one available).

Instead of dealing with all of the porting etc...has anyone considered making a points system for xoops?

Something that awards points for interaction, and has the ability to deduct points for use/access to certain modules etc.

This particular 'function' combined with things like an arcade, or the kings of chaos army system for the IPB board keep the sites users returning as often as they can to make sure they are not losing points...and has the members competeing for ranks based on the points.

At this point in time...besides the content, XOOPS has no hook or tool that helps keep users coming back.
