This is pretty generic, but you could try updating the newbb module, system module etc.

Maybe you should install a fresh set of module files (newbb)

Well updated the module and it still does the same error and then reinstalled the original newbb files again and still get the error...

Am I able to upgrade from CBB 1.15 to something else?

Taken from a duplicate thread about this issue:

Please can someone seriously help me with the above problem. I have had this issue since I used the Auto Hack and then I removed all Auto Hack entries to stop the above error from appearing but still myself and users are getting this everyday.
I know I have posted this once before but I seriously cannot get this to stop and users are stopping visiting my site.
I am willing to give someone, preferably a XOOPS admin or developer access to my server and site to look into this, as I am beginning to lose all hope.
Below is the link to my original post:

Ok Lets see if we can atleast attempt to get this figured out for ya.
Could ya give us a little more info.
xoops version,
module versions.
installed hacks. include hacks that you believe you have uninstalled as (for example) GiJoe may still be haunting you.
I used to suffer from this same issue on xoops. 2.0
What fixed it for me was upgrading to the latest everything.
The issue it seems here is that you are hesitant about losing information. If this is truly the case perhaps you could extract specific tables instead of doing a full backup. So you could still keep your user base and all your pertinent info and create new system tables.

Thank you mate.
Well here we go...
Xoops Version 2.0.13.2Module Versions: Forum is on CBB 1.15, do you need more info?Hacks: GIJOE Auto Login Hack.. no other hacks
As for losing info then yes thats what I am worried about, plus I am not the best person when it comes to altering anything relating to PHP, so would love as much help as possible.

Well big thanks to stewdio for looking into it some more for me. But still having the same issue.

Have put up the original core files from XOOPS to overwrite any existing GIJOE hack.. and also upgraded to CBB1.16... anyone else willing to get involved..

Thinking about it ... the Autologin hack might be a good guess but should we concentrate completely on that? Maybe we are barking up the wrong tree after all?

Did you try to download your site. Set it up on your pc and test if it still happens when you use Xampp or Xsas to run it on?

If that works without the problem it could be some server setting or software version interfering instead of the auto logon hack.

Just my 0.02 cents.

A thought - are you using the modules local caching? (it has an extra option in perfferences?)

I had the same probs on my site.

After hours of testing and debugging I have decided to disable the $token_valid check, i.e. I'm setting the token_valid to true if a xoopsuser object exists.

I know it's a bad workaround, but it works
