I had a warning when i went to admin menu about having the install folder in my site and to remove it for safety issues, also said something about main.php jsut glancing over it I figured it meant to delete it also.. I must also say its late where I am and on any normal day and time I would know not to delete anything that says main anything :P But I did.. did I complete screw my site up or what?

thanks.

No, you didn't. Well, not completely.

You will need to get a fresh copy of mainfile.php, edit it's contents (writing the path to your website root, the URL of your website, the database server, database name, username, password, all that info goes into mainfile.php. Then, put it in your website root, and your site should run perfect again.

The warning about mainfile.php shows up when the file is not read-only.

After installation you must chmod it to 644

Just download the ZIP file from XOOPS 2.0.13.1 and extract it.

Then adjust mainfile.php like Herko replied earlier in this thread. Then upload it to your webserver.
