News Module problem after updating to 2.2.2

My news all shows up as being "Posted by Anonymous" instead of my username. I had a few problems with the forums as well, but after updating the forums module from system admin it started to work again just fine.

Any idea why the news articles are now showing as "Posted by Anonymous" ?

A bug in 2.2 is creating the problem. From what I can gather reading the message boards, the developers are aware of it and working to fix it. Hope it happens soon.

Is there an update on this fix? It appears that the news module is pulling the "Real Name" rather than the username and if the field in the database is blank you get the anonymous XOOPS default.

Sorry - hate to double post but this is a terribly annoying issue and we've gotten no response on the fix. (By the way, if XOOPS had a bump feature for the forums, no one would have to double post) ;)

Please be patient. The Core Team is working as fast as possible to fix any bugs in the 2.2.x branch. 2.2.3RC2 will be released soon and will address many issues.
