I have just installed the 2.2.3 XOOPS site www.aussienymeetup.net

I have a question about site hits. I have the site hits viewable in a block on the lower left only to webmasters.

so far there are no site hits.

is this a problem with 2.2.3? or is it just because I have restricted viewing to webmaster only or something else?

Does it require you to add anything to the theme, header or footer files or info?

for XOOPS 2.0.13.1 and earlier you had to add some info to the footer in order for it to report the number of hits.

how come this couldn't be built into the installation process.
