I have recently taken serverspace with www.servage.net
They have their own control panel and do not use phpmyadmin for MySQL. Is there any other way where in i can install Xoops.
I am sure there will be way out.

No phpMyAdmin? Their list of features says something else. In most cases there is no need for phpMyAdmin when it comes to installing XOOPS. BUT it is always good to have some mySQL-Tools - there are several out there.

When i start the install everything works fine only when it tries to make sqltables it gives me error
check database
Could not connect to the database server.

Please check the database server and its configuration.
Can some one tell me how to sort the issue out.

Got thru the Database was not connecting due to some problems but sorted now.
