While searching for XOOPS 2.2.2 at xoops.org i got the following result
Download XOOPS

Module Repository
I clicked on the full .zip link and reached
https://xoops.org/modules/core/visit.php?cid=7&lid=86
and redirected to http://www.missing.com/

Can anybody explain why? Is this a problem with xoops.org or with my browser?
Thanks.

It was planned for yesterday night but I messed a few things up, and decided to delay it and have some sleep before .

The packages should be finished within hours, so it's coming (actually, both 2.2.2 and 2.0.13.1 are coming).

Because it contains security fixes (not big issues, but anyway all used branches are updated when updates are security related).

This thing confirms what lots of people think: 2.2 version was realsed too much prematurely!
What's the sense of a new verion every week? Why don't extend the release candidate period if XOOPS 2.2 was so bugged?! Moreover it's incompatible with lots of modules....

However I'm happy that 2.0 version will be still developed because I think I'll continue to use this good and stable version for lots of time

Um, if you read Skalpa's post again it says the fix applies to both 2.0.13 and 2.2 - so it doesn't actually confirm anything about 2.2.

Though I agree that it's a good idea to stick with 2.0.13 until more modules are compatible with the newer version.

you're happy to stay with XOOPS 2.0.x because that has had over 2 years to become this stable and bug free. And 2.0.13.1 will also be released, to fix the same security issues. So it's so easy to say what you said, when all the developers did was release a new version with lots of new requested features, while it has been in beta and RC for a long time, without all these complaints and bug reports. I'm sorry, but if you still find bugs, report them, but finding them is your job. Fixing them is the devs...

I have installed 2.2.1 on my localhost and working fine with many modules.
But there is many warnings & Notices like this when phpdebug is on
Notice [PHP]: Constant _MI_TEXT already defined in file c:\apache\htdocs\xoops221\modules\partners\language\english\modinfo.php line 38
Notice [PHP]: Constant _MB_TITLE already defined in file c:\apache\htdocs\xoops221\modules\partners\language\english\blocks.php line 35
Notice [PHP]: Constant _MD_POSTEDON already defined in file c:\apache\htdocs\xoops221\modules\news\language\english\main.php line 88

Can we ignore this on a production site?

IMHO the best way to make something is make it good!
I'know that this thing is more difficult to implement in software development but if a new version is necessary every week something don't go in the development.
My criticism want be constructive and not destructive of your good job....

Kumar you can ignore Notice [PHP] but my advice is continue to use 2.0.13 at least till xoops.org won't use 2.2 version.
If developers themselves don't use 2.2 for official site this means they don't completely believe in 2.2'stability and so it's better for a normal site don't use it!
