i am new to XOOPS and WAMP enviroment and want to explore xoops.

So to give XOOPS a test drive, i've installed it on an Win XP system running Apache 2, MySQL 4.1 and PHP 5. The installation is complete and i am able to access XOOPS using the full path http://localhost:8080/xoops/index.php in the browser. What all i need is, is there any way that i simply write http://localhost/xoops and default page of XOOPS loads in browser? As i m a newbie, i don't have any idea where and how to define the default page of a WAMP website. Any help will be appreciated.

you had to redirect o r point the local host to XOOPS dir for this you have to edit conf file

thanx for yr reply. But as i mentioned earlier i m a newbie, i don't know what exactly do i need to change in conf file. can u plz guide?
