Hello,
I'm afraid my admin section is incomplete after upgrading from 2.0.13 to 2.2, e. g. I see nothing related to blocks administration. I only see the menu options listed below. How should a complete menu look like?

Something is amiss, turn on PHP debug and check for any errors. You should have a "Blocks" Category as well as "Misc Tools" should be populated with options.

See the XOOPS 2.2 Tour to get an idea about what should be where.

So I'm missing at least Blocks, Users and all options from the Misc.Tools menu... this looks pretty messed up. And I have no backup (stupid, I know... but I never had any problems with XOOPS updates before).

Would it be possible to re-install the upgrade? Or install a complete new 2.2 over my current installation (without loosing the database, theme, etc., of course)? or any other ideas?

PHP debug does not give much - below the admin page I only get:

Did you run the update script "xoopsupdate.php" and update the system module?

yes, I did run xoopsupdate.php (see also my previous post:https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=39360&forum=1)
but how to update the system module? I assume this would be done through the Modules/Administration menu? I'm missing this , too ...

Yes, you would update the system module through the modules administration page.

If you are not sure how see my XOOPS System Upgrade Flash Tutorial, it upgrades the system module towards the end of the tutorial.

I have seen this tutorial before, very nice.
However, since I do not have the Modules/Administration option (it's simply not there in the Modules menu) how could I update the system module?

Try adding this to the end of your URL:

modules/system/admin.php?fct=modulesadmin

See if you can get there.

could get there and updated the system module - unfortunately no change in the admin menu

btw, could you provide the path to the blocks admin? maybe I can at least fix the problem that I have no blocks except the menus on my front page

Do you use cloned, custom templates? You may need to regenerate them.
