After upgrading XOOPS from 2.0.13 to XOOPS 2.2 it totally messed up my templates system... first of i have this problem
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?viewmode=flat&topic_id=39135&forum=1

Secondly after seeing that my templates for mydownloads also got messed up, i tried modifying the block recent downloads. I can edit it, but nothing changes on the site itself i still get the empty () without date inserted.
Before you ask, no there is no cache enabled, nor module wide nor for this block...

How did you edit the template? Did you edit in the template administration page or direct to file?

I have the same problem on my site too.

How do we get the site to rebuild the templates?

system admin -> modules, click 'update' for the modules in question. This will reload all physical template files and import their content into the database to be used by the system.

Thanks for the suggestion. I Updated every module on the site from the top down, but this has not fixed the template issue.

Also, since the site upgrade I have a few bugs, all news posts have no names, there is no link for the PM module anymore, and a few other issues I forget right now...

I just turned the debug on and it did'nt display any information on any pages, so I turned it back off.

Now I can only load the front page if I delete my cookies and cannot login or go to any other pages. My site is hossed. Anyone got any idea's?

Bye the way somehow my other site has also died after the upgrade to 2.2.

So both my DesktopOS.com & SpoilerCar.com sites are now out of action.

are yuo using gzip compression? blank pages with debug off and showing when it is on, may be due to the gzip compression.

I run the reinstall scripts on the sites and now all you get when you go to them is:

Selected module does not exist!

If
the page does not automatically reloadplease click here

Then the page reloads to blank

First try going to [your site url]/recovery.php and turn php debug on. Then you should be able to get to admin again to turn off gzip.

If you can't get access to the admin section you'll need access to your database and to run the query:

UPDATE xoopsprefix_config SET conf_value=0 WHERE conf_name 'gzip_compression'

Don't forget to replace 'xoopsprefix' wïth the one used for your XOOPS database.
