when some tries to register, the email was not sent to their own email address. what happen to this? what part should we edit? and what we are going to change or append. There is something wrong, please help us pls. we are a novice user. thank you

what do you mean? not sent to their own address? have you enabled it in admin preferences general settings.. default value is that webmasters also receive a copy of the email aswell.

the viewer who tries to register a new account.

this displayed after someone tries to register.

"You are now registered. Email containing an user activation key has been sent to the email account you provided. Please follow the instruction on the mail to activate your acount."

but unfornately they didnt receive any message.

help me what to do pls. im a novice user.

have u setup email settings via admin / system / preferences / mail settings?

also are you sure that the email server is working for your site?

also ask the person if they have checked their spam folders on their email software.. sometimes the emails get detected as spam.. also XOOPS only ever sends out 1 email.. if the email could not be delivered it will not send repeated.. so if using hotmail, make sure your inbox isn't full..
