Can anything be done about spam complaints?

Hi all,

Is there anything we can do about spam complaints from site members the DID select "receive notices" but are too f-ing lazy or stupid to manage their own membership accounts?

We have double opt in with confirmation email, but down the road, if someone complains, there doesn't seem to be a way to prove they signed up!

Any suggestions?

Just put something in the disclaimer (the thing they agree to when they signup).
