is it too much confusing using 4 columns on startpage? some feedback will be nice!

On 1024x768 it's OK. On 800x600, it's way too cramped.

Well, you should not be developing for 800x600 anymore anyway. Less than 10% use that resolution.

I think the layout is very interesting. Makes for some added options.

Hallo Michael,

I find the 4 column format a bit too busy, especially with the split (two-section) header. I think the theme would "appear" less busy and confusing with a single unified header.

thanks for comments. yes, my stats show a bit more than 10% on 800*600 too and i'm always looking to fit 800*600 if it is not a special layout with ads on a sideblock eg.

@mark no panic, it is not the final layout. It is actually nothing more than playing with positionings and blocksettings on different modules.

When you click through the modules mylinks, news and of course on startpage i'm playing with different settings.

The possibilities of layouting this full width basic themefile are without any frontiers
