I've seen this problem posted in the forums but no response...

When submitting e-mail from the Contact Us form, the message is sent and received. Also when a new user registers, the notification is sent to the Admin e-mail acct, but when trying to send the confirmation e-mail to the new user the follwoing error meaasge is generated:

Failed sending notification mail to xxxxx

I'm running..
XOOPS Ver 2.0.10
MySQL 4.1.12
PHP 5.0.4

I use the default PHP mail()

Any suggestions please?

You may want to try changing the mail delivery method to "sendmail".

It may not fix your problem, but it helped with a problem I was having where the mail would take a long time to actually be sent to some clients.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try that however I should have mentioned that I'm running on Windows server 2003. I'm not sure that it'll support Sendmail without a client.

It's only the registration email that doesn't work? And it is constant? Not just a temporary problem?

Very weird as other mailings (notifications and stuff) use the same method for sending mails.
