Good day,
I would like to suggest something, I don't know if it has already been developed by your team. How about a form generator for member's Profile or membership form upon registration? So as an admin of a xoop site, we can create or customize our registration form. Is this possible in XOOPS?

Case: Type of group : (dropdown menu- developer, newbie,etc)
expertise : (also a dropdown menu- html, css, php, etc)

And these members will be group and searched according to the keyword entered.

I hope you got my point.

I believe something like this will be available in the version 2.2 release. Don't know about the dropdown menus, but customizes fields.

yes, this will be in the XOOPS 2.2 release including custom fields that can be drop-downs. Release is scheduled for June 30th, but may be postponed 5-7 days, depending on how the testing goes.

Do you offer upgrades from old XOOPS versions to the new xoops?
