Deny certain IP to Download

Is it possible to deny a certain IP to download in any of the Download modules used in XOOPS ?

It because some of my downloads are not suited for the chrildren at my school.

But they are welcome to play my Flashgames and so one..

So i need to deny them to download, but not to visit the site !

would it not be easier to create a group for these people you don't want accessing the downloads section and then setting the access accordingly?

Just a thought

That way you could set a group up that could not even see the downloads module..

i agree that thats a possibility, BUT...

thats means that they have to log in...

Otherwise will all users that dont log in not be able to see/use the Downloads...

The easiest for me would be a way to exclude the IP.

But certainly a possibility.

Is it an option for you that you could hide the download module from anonymous users and only make it available to people that have logged in then?

Hiding the module from everyone except for allowed groups is the easiest way. It's a standard XOOPS option, and needs no hacks.

Again, yes its a possibility...

But i would prefer a different solution.

Does anybody else know of a possibility to exclude a certain IP ?

Anyone ???

It must be possible for one of you super users of XOOPS to help me !!!

All i need is a way to exclude a certain IP to use the download module ?

It dosent matter witch download module, coz i will change my module in a sec. if its possible !

AFAIK it is not possible without some php hacking.
