I have created my XOOPS site locally and now want to deploy to my isp. I have used phpmyadmin to export my db. When I try to import the db it fails and I get the following:

MySQL said:

#1064 - You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'PK' at line 1

I have also tested by settiong up a test XOOPS site on my isp, exportinmg and importing this db also fails.

Can someone help - why can't I import my XOOPS db? thanks

looks like the character sets are different.. how are you exporting/importing them?

Did you look at the file exported from phpMyAdmin to see if there's anything odd in it?

An alternative to exporting from phpMyAdmin is to use the mysqldump command from the console.
