Don't apologize. There is very little information available about translating XOOPS, which is why I directed you to that post.
I've written a document proposing new language standards, a guide for translators and a set of changes I'd like to propose for the XOOPS.org website to do with translations. When I finally get an internet connection at home again I'll be able to post all that, and hopefully get comments from interested members of the community to improve what I've done.
