I'm trying to enhace a module.

will give me uid of the user?

What could be the reson for displaying it with &#...&#...&#...? Where dots are numbers. Iheve chaneged $xoops_charset to windols-1251 (add $xoops_charset=windows-1251' in mainfile.php) and add proper colection for DB an field type for it in config table.

Sory I havent been clear enought. When register_globals is off FileManedger cant see folders behind root of xoops. In coments in Modul repository somebody showed some kind of hack, other said it is less secure than globals on. So I'm interested if seting global on only in FileManeger direktory is the less risky of all three. And what kind of risks do i take.
