This almost certainly has to do with the theme, but I'm stumped as to where they come from.

Issue one:
Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Combing the source doesn't reveal any place where all those high ascii char's even exist? Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

Well, I think it's just a mangling of japanese chars trying to fit into the extended ASCII space.

Did you look at the example image?

On that same note, is there anything in XOOPS that would cache-and-serve old versions of a page, or is it my webserver. I've noticed that some of the changes I make take some time to take effect, and my not-at-all-stable install of Apache may be to blame.

Apologies. I used HTML and not XoopsCode.

The image is http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v335/jazzmahn/interesting.gif

And I think that this is the right way to post it...

clear templates_c folder if u make changes to the theme or template files.. or set update templates in XOOPS admin, preferences general settings to 'yes'

regarding the theme, i dunno, try editing it in an ediotr aand try to find the prt that's causing the problem..

Excellent! Clearing that folder worked perfectly. Thanks so much!
