I remember reading a long, long time ago, that a global category system, which would be used my all modules, was in the roadmap. So basically links, news, images, etc, would reference the same list of centrally managed categories. I searched, but didn't find any references to this or any future plans. Is this officially off the roadmap, or are there plans to implement it at some point?

Perhaps this is a feature that can be requested for Xoopsphere?

For XooSphere this will be added (I'll personally make sure of that, as it's been on my wishlist for over 2 years now!). For XOOPS 2.2, we're still keeping the possibility open, but we don't want too many changes made to models to be able to use the improved system.
