Update Problem 2.0.92 to 2.0.10

ive just uploaded content of Xoops-2.0.9.2-to-2.0.10.zip file.
But my custom blocks became empty. And now i cant enter admin section. It says "This is your first time to enter the administration section. Press the button below to proceed." everytime and if i click submit "fail to open file" and return homepage. what the problem can be? What is the solution thank you

yes now i found a tutorial how i can upgrade it a slideshow but for me its too late now what can i do to correct it? i cant enter admin settings section control panel thx

Double check the cache folder, first make sure that adminmenu.php is there and that the folder is in fact chmod 777. If it is download a copy of adminmenu.php, then delete it from the server and try to log on again.

Does it specify which file it fails to open?

cache folder is empty and i cant know which file fails to open

What is the chmod setting?
Should be 777 for cache, uploads and template_c.

they are all ok and 777

Ok, you said that you saw my tutorial. Did it show you anything that you may have missed in the update? Anything that should have been done, not done? or anything that should not have been done, done?

And did you use the upgrade patch or full install package?

Also what version of Newbb and/or News if installed?

Sorry for all the questions just trying to determin the best method of recovery.

i used upgrade package of Xoops-2.0.9.2-to-2.0.10.zip
i just unzipped it and overwrite on my old folders.
At firstl look all things are okay except custom blocks of my site were empty but i was able to enter admin section. And then it started to give the error i mentioned in first msg and now i cant see admin page :)

Download the full package of the version that you were upgrading from. That should of been version 2.0.9.2, correct?

Upload all files overwriting existing. Since your custom blocks were not showing this assumes that you did not update the system module. If you did update the system module do not reupload.

Good time right now before you go any further to backup your database. Do that before anything else.

what about uploading the full package of the latest version?
(yes it was 2.0.92)
