Hi,

I would like to use the login information provided in the register.php form to restrict access to a web site. So I wanted to write this info into a .htpasswd file. I cannot log into the site from my Windows PC. Thinks the encryption method (md5) is not the good one. Any idea on the method I should use ?

A good way to restrict access to a website is to close it. See this article for more explanations:
