Hi guys. After 2 weeks of testing CMS scripts ( i tested over 50) i am glad to tell u that XOOPS is the one that suits my needs. I have to warn u now that i am noob with CMS scripts. So u should be expecting a lot of questions lol. Starting with this one ? Which file do i edit the encoding <META http-equiv=content-type content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"> so i can write in greek ?

Hi, and welcome to XOOPS!

For this you have to edit language/yourlanguage/global.php, at the end of the file:

//%%%%% LANGUAGE SPECIFIC SETTINGS %%%%%
define('_CHARSET', 'ISO-8859-1');
define('_LANGCODE', 'en');

Ok good. Now i want to ask
1) Is there any greek language pack?
2) Is there any step by steb tutorial on how to start adding content etc?
3) How do i remove the register/login/logout . I want everyone to be able to read everything but nobody to be able to post nothing

Concerning the Greek support,have a look at: www.xoopsgreece.org. Even if it not active, you can find some interesting information.

Do you also think that it could be a good idea to join XOOPS Greece in order to re-activate and join our efforts?

If you look on the left column of this site there is a block titled Documentation and a link called XOOPS FAQ. The information you will find in those sections will surely answer the majority of your questions.
