Hello people,

The forum on my XOOPS website suddenly died, it has runnin NewBB version 2 (RC2),it's been working fine untill yesterday all the postings dissappeared except the topics.
Now you can't even add anything, the rest of the XOOPS system runs perfectly fine, could there be somehting wrong with the SQL server?

Any help much appreciated.

Is your forum fairly busy? or is it possible that the postings have passed the 100 day threshold in the default "Sort by" settings on the forum page?

Also why still using a test version? Version 2.02 final is the latest version.

jdseymour, the forum is somtimes busy but not that busy :)

Furthermore not 1 posting is visible not even in the archives so it must be something else.

Yes I know should have upgraded some time back.

Check your database, make sure the postings are there.

And just for the heck of it, change your "Sort By" settings to "From the Beginning"

uh oh :

Can't open file: 'xoops_bb_posts_text.MYI'. (errno: 145)

Error

SQL-query :

SHOW KEYS FROM `xoops_bb_posts_text`

MySQL said:

#1016 - Can't open file: 'xoops_bb_posts_text.MYI'. (errno: 145)

Before upgrading we need to fix the problem first. An upgrade with problems could magnify the problem, not fix it.

Are you using phpmyadmin? If so try "Repair Database"
