An article module needed?

Hello,
i am trying to find an article module where i can insert 3. party author name and when the author is clicked i would like to giv link to the author's pictures, his/her biography, and his/her all articles..
can anybody help?.
please note that i would like to write the data of a writer other than poster..

Hi,

The version 1.3 of the News module can do it with "News by the same author":

AMS will do this also, in fact pretty much any article module will. Most article modules with the ability to list an article author will link to the authors profile which can contain photo (avatar), a short biography in the Extra info section and other detals such as name, email, website, location, occupation, etc. At the bottom of the profile page is a list of ALL contributions made by that user, including articles.

i would like to have an article website and in this website there should be lots of articles. and i would like the poster to be able to add an author name who is another person not the poster.

for example, the poster name is A, but sends an article of B(e.g. Marx, Darwin, Hitler, Blair, Oral Sander) and then C (...) and then D and .....

Hello,

News 1.3 can do it. When you submit an article and when you are an approver, you can select the author.
For your first question, begin by activate the option in the module's options then when you will read an article you will see a new link "News by this author".

Hi hervet,
that is cool that the approver is able to change the author, but from the members of the website. Is it possible to add an input text there to write another name, e.g. John Walker (not a member of the website.)

i mean,
poster suhak
author Charles Darwin
and the reader may choose to go to either all articles posted by suhak or written by Charles Darwin (Darwin is just an example, i am trying to find a person who makes sense)

at top (all three as a link) --- Topic : Title by Author

and below -- Poster Date Reads etc..

No it's not possible, only the approvers can change this.
The best way will be to ask your posters to put a little comment, at the begining of their article to say what's the author's name.

can approver add another name out of the website..

thanks alot for your help. i think i should try to modify the news1.3 or ams for this aim but it will take so long for me to do it..

(by the way, is there a modul to be used as biography modul)
