Hi, I'm new to Xoops, but I'm loving it so far!
I have the news module selected as the default for the home page.
This results in the following being the url to the site:
http://mydomain.com/modules/news/Is there a way to make
http://mydomain.com the home page without it showing .../modules/news/??
Also I've looked at a few people's sites for inspiration and I see some have a welcome portion at the top of the home page. How is this done? Do you have to create a custom page? I was just wondering as if you create a welcome news story, it shows the author and the date - but on the example sites, it's just a nice intro...
This site has an welcome on the home page too. Is this just a block centred? Is that how you can get multiple module-type things on the front page? - by centring the blocks - see the homepage of this site to see what I mean:
"Welcome to the Official XOOPS website!"
"Latest XOOPS news"
"Recent Topics"
Hope this makes sense!!
Thanks in advance...
