So, even when stored in php sessions in a file in a /tmp dir it uses cookies? That's ok ... I like cookies. I just have a problem with people turning them off then wondering why they can't stay logged in to their account (when XOOPS is using SENT cookies) and sending desperate pleas for help and screaming silly accusations that the site is all messed up at three o'clock in the morning ...
On the other hand saving the data in the database does work transparently to those who don't allow cookies, but the database tends to get clogged (or so I've heard) if there isn't some kind of routine to clean up old sessions.
Thanks for taking time to reply !
