I have installed XOOPS and it worked fine but when I try to rename a module or even create a poll it would cut the name off by 1 or 2 letters. So when I try to change News module name to say Articles is would say that rename was successful and show up as "s" for the name... I looked in to the DB and I had to go and change very module name by hand. I guess theres a problem in php scripting and MySQL if any one had the same problem and knows how to fix it please post here.

CHanging the names of the modules works every time I use it, on many many sites. What version of PHP are you running, and perhaps you need to check the database integrity?
