How is this site splitting up and displaying each section of news on the "home page"?

Specifically, the "Latest XOOPS News" and how there is the "Announcing the XOOPS Foundation" and then the four sections:
Xoops, Modules, Themes, Yaxs.

Thanks.

Re: How is XOOPS displaying the news on the front?

it is a hacked version of the Spotlight module that has been modified to hard code the news category id's and their positions in the block. I was originally told that a similar block would be available to news 1.3, but I haven't had a chance to try it out since news 1.3 has been released. Anyone else want to comment on: if there is a similar block in news 1.3, and if so, how it works?

If not, you may also consider the Super Spotlight module which has a similar block layout.
